Just looking for the webcomic?

Geoffrey Mearn is a criminal, a sometimes-mendicant, and a past President of the United States in a world where power is controlled by shadowy elements operating from behind society's curtains.

Mearn is also a superhero.

He vanished 43 years ago after an attacker forced him to publically reveal his extraordinary nature.

Mearn's sudden reappearance in the present will force the powers of the world into the light.  As these giants come face to face, violence is inevitable, and the civilized world will be their battleground.

. . . .

MWWT is a comic about people who are shades of gray instead of black or white.  Human hope and fallibility play out alongside extraterrestrial activity and black magic in a dangerous world.

Anyone may subscribe to the Mearn's World mailing list (and the project's more-or-less monthly newsletter) by sending an empty e-mail with the subject line 'mailing list add' to barking_frog@roadrunner.com from the address that s(he) wants to subscribe (please remember to add barking_frog@roadrunner.com to your allow list if you use a spam filter).  Each issue of the newsletter includes artwork and occasional articles on MeW, both at least one or two weeks in advance of hitting anywhere else, as well as behind-the-scenes info on what's going on inside the project!

This site uses HTML 'anchors' pretty widely.  Anchors are 'signposts' that tell your browser to load a page 'further down' in the content rather than right at the top.  They appear in the URL (the address bar) after a # character.  Some versions of Internet Explorer appear to have an intermittent bug where anchors aren't treated correctly when a page is first loaded -- the browser might drop down to an entirely different part of the page, or barely drop down at all.  This can be (crudely) worked around by clicking in the address bar and hitting Enter on the keyboard to reload the page (the 'refresh' button doesn't appear to have the same effect).  Or you can download a proper web browser.  ;-)  (Disclaimer:  This happens with other browsers too, especially on long pages or pages that don't have image dimensions defined in the HTML, but nothing that seems to me nearly so radical/frequent as under IE.)  (Not using Explorer will also clean up some bizarre but minor vertical text spacing issues on the site.)
